Philosophy, Law, and Ethics of Handling COVID-19 Pandemic in Indonesia

BACKGROUND: During the pandemic, COVID-19 spread very quickly between people. Thus, patients’ rights to obtain treatment do not have decrease protection of public. The perspectives ethics, law, and justice prioritize public as stated in principle “Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto” (Public safety is highest law regulated law). METHODS: This research employs statute approach with comprehensive, all-inclusive, systematic manners ratio legis Health Law. It also uses philosophy approach. RESULTS: In Indonesia, regulatory handling pandemic based on Law Infectious Disease Outbreak. quick this disease causes many fatalities. individual patients must be ruled out rights. CONCLUSION: legal perspective upholds principle, namely, was core philosophy, ethics covid 19 pandemic.
